Charges have been laid against a Six Nations resident after being stopped by provincial police on the 401 through Chatham-Kent.

Authorities say a Good Samaritan reported a traffic complaint shortly after midnight on Saturday.

Members of the Elgin OPP Chatham Detachment found the vehicle heading westbound near Communications Road and say the vehicle was travelling more than 65 kilometres an hour over the limit.

The driver, a 53-year-old from Ohsweken has now been charged with driving while impaired and stunt driving. He was issued a 90-day license suspension and had his vehicle impounded for 14 days.
