It’s been a busy week for Chatham-Kent Police, keeping tabs on lead-footed drivers near schools.
The Traffic Unit has officers stationed in school zones across the municipality yesterday, issuing a total of 19 tickets for speeding and other offences.
One Chatham woman was clocked going 93 kilometres an hour in a 40 zone in Blenheim.
The 27-year-old has now been charged with stunt driving. Her license has been suspended for a week and her vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for two weeks.
Since school resumed on Tuesday, Chatham-Kent Police have laid a total of 52 charges for various infractions in community safety zones.
