Local families are in for another summer of fun.
CKRecreation is hosting its second annual SummerFest with free events across Chatham-Kent.
Free swims at municipally-run pools begin this Sunday, June 29. Visit www.Chatham-Kent.ca/Pools to view the current pool schedules.
Beach days will be held throughout July and August at Erieau and Mitchell’s Bay. Events in Mitchell’s Bay will take place on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm for a day of fun in the sun, with lots of beach toys and activities for kids. In Erieau, the focus will be games for youth and adults, every Sunday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The CKRecreation PlayRangers will be visiting events across Chatham-Kent. Look for the big PlayRangers truck bringing unique and engaging equipment and toys, ensuring fun for all ages. See the full schedule at www.Chatham-Kent.ca/Recreation
“We are thrilled to offer free active community programs to the residents of Chatham-Kent again this summer,” said Amy Wadsworth, Manager Recreation Services and Community Engagement. “We hope that families take advantage of these opportunities to get outside, have fun, and connect with their community.”
