Supporting Children Across CK

Submitted photo.

A local organization continues to support children in Chatham-Kent.

Make Children Better Now held its annual general meeting over the weekend, making a $10,000 donation to the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent, as well as supporting Fragile X Awareness and Memorandum Canada, which provides programs and advocacy for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

Make Children Better Now honours the legacy of 10-year-old Myles Neuts, who died in 1998 after being found hanging by his shirt collar in a school washroom stall. Myles parents, Mike and Brenda Neuts, have since dedicated their lives to supporting other children, teaching empathy, respect, and hope.
