An arrest has now been made after a man broke into a Chatham business through the roof of the building back in May.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called the morning of May 12 after a man entered the business on Riverview Drive through an insecure roof access door. Several items were stolen.
Using surveillance footage, investigators were able to identify a suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Officers located the accused on Richmond Street in Chatham on Wednesday at around 10:30 a.m. The 48-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and charged with one count of break-and-enter to commit theft.
He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
