A pair of drivers are facing charges after being pulled over on the 401 in Chatham-Kent.
Elgin OPP responded to a traffic complaint on June 17th in the westbound lanes near Orford and arrested a 31-year-old Hamilton man. The driver is charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and will have to face a judge next month.
Meantime, on June 20th, officers responded to the westbound lanes in Raleigh Township and stopped another suspected drunk driver. In that case, a 35-year-old Chatham man has been charged with impaired driving.
Provincial Police are reminding members of the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.
