Suspected Thieves Arrested in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Police K9 Helix.

The Chatham-Kent Police K9 unit was called into action over the weekend to track down a would-be thief.

Chatham-Kent Police were called to a break and enter at a James Street business in downtown Wallaceburg shortly after 2 o’clock Saturday morning.

K9 Helix was brought in to search the building and tracked down two suspects inside.

Two Wallaceburg men, aged 34 and 35, were arrested and charged with break and enter.

The 35-year-old was released from custody with a future court date, while the 34-year-old was held in custody for a bail hearing.
