The OPP marine unit is checking on more than just life jackets.
Officers were out on St Clair River near Port Lambton this weekend and during a pair of regular vessel checks, came across two suspects wanted on outstanding warrants. Both were taken into custody without incident.
Lambton OPP says that even though the marine unit mainly focuses on boater safety and sobriety, officers still have the same authority on water as they do on land.
