A Chatham family is desperately trying to find a bone marrow match for their ailing son.
16-year-old Ethan Hunter was diagnosed with an aggressive form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in August, 2022 and although his cancer went into remission in December, 2023, it has now returned and he is in need of a bone marrow transplant.
The family is holding a swab drive on Saturday, July 27 in the hopes of finding a match.
The event runs from 10:30 to 3pm at the St Clair College Healthplex on Grand Avenue West.
The family is specifically looking for people between the ages of 17 and 35 to register. For those who cannot attend tomorrow’s event but wish to register, visit blood.ca/kbbma. For more information on the Katelyn Bedard Bone Marrow Association, visit givemarrow.net or call 519-564-4119.
