Impaired driving charges have been laid after a vehicle was seen swerving into oncoming traffic in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called about the swerving vehicle on Monday at around 9:30 p.m. The vehicle was then located and stopped on Wellington Street East.
Believing the man behind the wheel was impaired by drugs, officers took him into custody before taking him to police headquarters for further tests.
As a result, a 23-year-old Chatham man has been charged with impaired driving. A warrant had also been issued for his arrest and he was held in pending a bail hearing.
