Officials with the Wallaceburg and District Museum are inviting local residents to take a ride back in time this Family Day.

The Baldoon Wagon Run will be held on Monday, February 16, providing a unique seated storytelling experience celebrating Wallaceburg’s rich industrial history.

Held inside the museum’s Jeanne Gordon Hall, the Baldoon Wagon Run offers guests a chance to “travel” through Wallaceburg’s working past, listening to engaging stories that highlight the industries and businesses that helped shape the community, presented in a fun and accessible format for families and history lovers alike.

During the experience, the wagon will make stops at several key points in Wallaceburg’s industrial heritage, including Lumber and Staves, Empire Oil Refinery, Hawken Milling, the Glass Factory, Brass Factory, Mac Craft, Sugar Beet Factory, Libby’s Food Processing, Lee Machine Shop, Wallaceburg Bookbinding, and North American Plastics.

The Baldoon Wagon Run begins at 10 o’clock Monday morning. Tickets are $15 per person, with a discounted rate of $10 for museum members. Tickets may be purchased in person at the Wallaceburg and District Museum, located at 505 King Street, Wallaceburg, or by calling 519-627-8962.
