Tart and Soul Expanding to Windsor

After selling out the inaugural event in Chatham earlier this summer, a local festival is spreading its wings.

Over 3000 people attended the first ever Tart and Soul Butter Tart Festival at the Sons of Kent Brewing Company this past June, handing out awards including People’s Choice Award, Home Baker’s Best Butter Tart, and Best Specialty Butter Tart.

Now, organizers are heading down the 401 for a special “mini” edition at WindsorEats Food Hall on October 5th.

The one-day, butter tart–filled bash will feature some of Ontario’s top “Tartisans” offering their tasty creations for sale and sampling. Visitors will also get to vote in the People’s Choice Award to crown Windsor’s top butter tart.

“After the amazing turnout in Chatham, we couldn’t resist bringing Tart & Soul to Windsor,” says Doug Robbins, Festival Founder. “It’s a perfect pairing—great tarts, great people, and a city that loves food festivals.”

“We’re all about food, fun, and friends at WindsorEats, so hosting Tart & Soul is a perfect fit,” added Adriano Ciotoli, co-owner of WindsorEats. “We can’t wait to welcome everyone to enjoy this sweet Canadian classic right here in Windsor!”

Admission to the fall event is free. Organizers say space is limited, but vendors still have time to apply to take part.
