A Chatham teenager is facing an impaired driving charge.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were contacted about a potentially impaired driver on Friday just before 2 a.m.
Police located a suspect vehicle in a Bloomfield Road parking lot and asked the driver to provide a breath sample. When the test registered a fail, the driver was arrested and taken to police headquarters for further testing.
As a result, a 17-year-old Chatham boy has been charged with driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. He was later released and will answer the charge in court at a later date.
