A tragic weekend on the roads of Chatham-Kent.
Around 8am on Saturday, May 21st, emergency crews were called to a single vehicle collision on Pain Court Line near Bear Line Road.
Investigators say an 18-year-old Dover Township woman was heading east on Pain Court Line when she struck a tree on the north side of the road.
The driver was taken to hospital in Chatham-Kent, then transferred to Windsor Regional Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Out of respect for the family, the victim’s name is not being released at this point.
