Yang won the Vimy Pilgrimage Award late last year, and part of the award was a trip to Europe to mark the 100th anniversary of Vimy Ridge.
Yang says he got to visit many historic locations:
“What an amazing experience, we went throughout northern France to explore various cemeteries memorials and museums,” says Yang. “All dedicated to World War One, its impact and Canada’s impact.”
Yang was joined by 16 other students from across Canada on the trip. He’s a student at Wallaceburg District Secondary School.
