Thamesville Break In Caught on Camera

The charges piled up against a Chatham man following a Saturday morning break in.

Chatham-Kent police tell us shortly after 5 am, a Thamesville business owner checked his surveillance camera set up in his Splinter Line business and spotted a man breaking in.

He then drove off in the owner’s vehicle. Police found it abandoned a short distance away and picked up a suspect walking away.

The 35 year old was arrested and charged with break and enter, possession of stolen property possession of burglary tools, and several Highway Traffic Act violations.

The accused was provided with free accommodations pending a bail hearing.
