The End is Near For A Historic Thamesville Building

An iconic downtown Thamesville building is set to be torn down.

Built in the 1860s, the Haymes Variety building has become a public hazard due to its crumbling brick exterior.

Council added the building to the Municipal Heritage Register in 2010, but they recently removed it from the list so that it can be demolished.

Building Development Services is issuing an Order to Demolish, requiring the owner of the property to tear down the building.
