Leamington fire Services responded to a call to a house fire in the 200 block of Bennie Ave. around 7:30 pm. Firefighters recovered a deceased female from the home.
She has now been identified as 77 year old Carol White of Leamington. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
The Ontario Fire Marshals Office has been called in.
