Threat Charges Laid Following Father-Son Dispute

An unwanted guest has led to charge against two people.

According to Chatham-Kent Police, a man went to his father’s residence Wednesday afternoon, but overstayed his welcome. The two allegedly got into a fight and the accused threatened his father before leaving.

Officers found the accused a short time later at the home of a woman whom he was under court orders not to communicate with or be at her residence.

The 40-year-old Blenheim man has since been charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and two counts of failing to comply with a release order. The man was held in custody for a bail hearing.

The 39-year-old Blenheim woman has also been arrested and charged with facilitating a breach of undertaking. She was released with an October court date.
