A Chatham man has been arrested after allegedly harassing a woman in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent Police launched an investigation earlier this week on allegations the pair had been arguing over a texting app, after which the man is said to have left several voicemail messages. Authorities say the man made several comments suggesting he would cause harm to the victim and another individual.
The accused, a 29-year-old Chatham man, was located on Thursday and arrested. He is now charged with four counts of uttering threats to cause bodily harm and one count of uttering threats to destroy or cause damage to property.
The man was released from custody with conditions and a date in court next month.
