A Chatham man is facing charges after allegedly making threats at a local bank.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to the bank on Lacroix Street in Chatham shortly before 11 a.m. on Monday after a man was asked to leave the building by staff.
Another man, who is known to the accused, also asked him to leave. However, the suspect became confrontational and allegedly threatened to harm the man as he exited the bank.
The 39-year-old Chatham man was later arrested on Wellington Street West and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. He was taken to police headquarters and later released with a future court date.
