Three people are facing charges following a shoplifting incident at a Chatham retail store.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to the St. Clair Street store at around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, after three individuals concealed merchandise and exited the business without making an attempt to pay.
Investigators were able to identify three suspects after reviewing surveillance footage. The trio were located in a vehicle on Princess Street and arrested just before 11 p.m.
As a result, a 41-year-old Chatham woman and two men from Windsor, aged 30 and 47, have all been charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property under $5,000.
The two suspects from Windsor were later released from custody with a November court date, while the Chatham woman was held for a bail hearing.
