After being shuttered during the COVID-19 pandemic, the municipality is reviving some in-person service options for local residents.
Municipal service desks, located in public library branches in Bothwell, Thamesville, and Wheatley are being reopened.
Shut down in the spring of 2020, the service desks remained closed until a Customer Services review could be completed. An information report was presented to council earlier this year, recommending the facilities be allowed to reopen this fall so that post-pandemic patronage metrics can be collected and brought back to council.
Effective Monday, October 20, residents will be able to access a variety of municipal services closer to home, including paying property taxes and Entegrus bills, applying for marriage licenses, and purchasing bus passes.
The Wheatley and Thamesville service desks will be open Mondays from 8:30am to 4pm, while the Bothwell desk will be open on Wednesdays.
