Chatham-Kent has three new cases of COVID-19 along with eight new recoveries today.
According to CK Public Health, the municipality is now down to 20 “active” cases. There are currently no local COVID-positive patients in hospital.
Seven “active” cases are listed as close contact transmissions, with 6 linked to the place of worship outbreak in Blenheim. Three cases are connected to a congregate setting outbreak, two are unknown and one is pending.
Chatham-Kent has reported 422 total cases, 399 recoveries and three deaths.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says there are 1003 new cases in Ontario today, including 300 in Toronto, 280 in Peel Region, and another 125 in York.
The amount of testing being done has gone up as well with more than 41,000 swabs processed. However, there are still another 47,000 tests in the pipe waiting to be completed.
