A group of local volunteers is returning to Tilbury Memorial Park this week to brighten up the holiday season.
The fifth annual Tilbury Lions Christmas Light Festival kicks off on November 24 featuring over 60,000 Christmas lights, new displays, three light tunnels, the Cook Boys Memorial Christmas Trees, and more.
Local families can attend the park and walk along the park’s 1 km paved trail for free throughout the holidays until January 5, 2024.
For the festival’s opening night, the lights will be turned on for the first time between roughly 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. following the Tilbury Santa Claus Parade. Free visits with Santa will also be offered at the Lawn Bowling building and country music entertainer Crystal Gage will be performing holiday favourites on the Tilbury Auto Mall stage.
The Tilbury Lions Christmas Light Festival is organized solely by community volunteers and funded through generous donations.
