Time to Teach Kids Some Respect

Provincial Police are encouraging parents to talk to their kids about acceptable behaviour.

With summer in full swing, Provincial Police are noticing an increase in vandalism, mischief, shoplifting, under-age drinking, and noise complaints.

Officers say the summer holidays leave kids and teens with less formal structure and guidance, and these behaviours can be prevented by having open conversations about what is acceptable and respectful.

OPP are also reminding parents and kids that under the Child and Family Services Act, children 16 years and under cannot loiter in a public place between midnight and 6am.
