A special concert is being held in Chatham next fall in an effort to help fight crime in the community.
Local residents are being invited to mark their calendars for Friday, September 18 as Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers and benefitshow.net team up to bring tribute show Foreign Journey: The Best of Foreigner and Journey to the Chatham Capitol Theatre.
Organizers say the show will deliver a high-energy tribute act and powerhouse performance that will have the audience singing and dancing.
Proceeds from this event will support the Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers anonymous tip program and community education programs such as the Children’s Safety Expo, the Crime Stoppers Community Safety Updates, and other crime prevention initiatives.
“Last year we had a nearly sold out show for the Journey performance by this amazing group and we are very excited to have them bring this even bigger show to the Capitol Theatre this year,” said Erica McIntosh, Program Coordinator with Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers in a news release. “Not only is it a fun show for people of all ages to attend, but the funds raised go directly back into community crime fighting, prevention, and education programs.”
