Trudeau Puts 1.1 Billion Into COVID-19 Research

Prime Minister Trudeau spending spree continued Thursday.

During his briefing he announced a 1.1 billion dollar program for national research.

He said we are doing well but need to look down the road at a vaccine and this money will go to hospitals and universities for research.

$115 million will go towards research, $662 million for research on how brain and airway cells are effected.

$350 million for national testing, modelling and national data monitoring.

He also announced the federal government is creating a COVID 19 immunity task force.

It will include several top doctors taking care of the testing and tracking.
