Twin Pad Arena Coming to CK?

A twin pad arena could become a Chatham-Kent reality.

Come Monday night council will be discussing the possibility of developing plans, completing a site analysis, and figuring out a financing plan for a replacement for Memorial and William K Erickson arenas.

In a report from staff, a number of locations are being bandied about, from the Navistar site, to the current location of Memorial, to a spot near Charing Cross Rd and Indian Creek.

Costs could run anywhere as high as $56-million for a 42-hundred seat facility to as low as $25-million for a 2200 seat building.

Annual costs could range from 100-thousand to one million dollars.
