Two Charged After Charing Cross Road Theft

Charges have been laid in connection to a break-in in Chatham.

According to Chatham-Kent Police, two people forced their way into a home on Charing Cross Road and stole a pair of watches and some cash.

The culprits were confronted by the homeowner just as they were leaving the house, but fled before officers arrived.

Police were able to track down the getaway car and later arrested the two suspects.

A 36-year-old man is charged with break and enter, while a 25-year-old woman is facing charges of being a party to break and enter, and dangerous driving.
