Two Crashes Lead To Charges For Drivers

Two people are facing charges following a pair of crashes in Chatham this week.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said two vehicles collided on Lacroix Street near Richmond Street Wednesday morning, causing around $30,000 in damages.

As a result, a 56-year-old McGregor woman has been charged with making an unsafe turn.

Later that night, police responded to another crash, this time on William Street near King Street. Police said the driver left the scene following the collision.

A driver was later located by officers and charged with failing to report the collision and failing to remain at the scene.
