Three More Schools Affected by COVID-19

For the first time, a Wallaceburg school has been impacted by COVID-19.

Public Health notified the Lambton Kent District School Board yesterday about a “probable” case of the virus within the A.A. Wright Public School community.

Meantime, there’s been a confirmed case at Winston Churchill Public School in Chatham, and another confirmed case at Ursuline College.

Public health is reaching out to any students and staff who might be considered a close contact. All three schools remain open.

There are now six schools in the Lambton Kent board with confirmed cases, plus the probable case at A.A. Wright. A number of students remain under quarantine at CKSS, McNaughton Avenue Public School, Tecumseh, Queen Elizabeth II, and Riverview Central School in Port Lambton.

UCC is the only school within the St Clair Catholic District School Board affected by the virus at the moment.
