Union Gas is looking to meet the growing demand for natural gas in the area.
A public meeting is being held at the Old Czech Hall in Dresden later today to discuss plans for a pair of pipeline projects in Chatham-Kent.
Officials from Union Gas and Stantec Consulting will be on hand to go over the planning process for a new 500 metre 12-inch and 13 kilometre 8-inch natural gas pipeline.
The utility says the project will help meet the growing agricultural, commercial, and industrial market demand for natural gas in the area.
The meeting runs from 5-8 o’clock tonight.
