‘United Is The Way’ Fundraising Campaign Launches In CK

The local United Way chapter is focusing on “the spirit of unity” as it launches its annual fundraising campaign.

United Way Windsor-Essex Chatham-Kent kicked off the campaign this week with the theme “United is the Way.”

“Our campaign celebrates the spirit of unity that defines Chatham-Kent,” said Lorraine Goddard, the CEO of United Way Windsor-Essex Chatham-Kent, in a news release. “Right now,  any of our neighbours face barriers that hold our whole community back from reaching its full potential and at United Way we believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their postal code. By coming together, our community is taking direct action to remove barriers, transforming research into real impact where it is needed most.”

The organization will be holding several fundraising events, including the “United for Impact – A Community Breakfast” at the Retro Suites on October 28, and the month-long “Ultimate Burger Battle” at participating local restaurants.

The annual United Way campaign follows the successful wrap-up of its back-to-school program, which distributed over 500 gift cards across Chatham-Kent communities to provide students with essential supplies for the 2026/27 school year.
