United Way Gives Back

Employees at Union Gas are donating over $600,000 to the United Way of Chatham-Kent.

President of Union Gas Steve Baker says giving back is a priority for the company.

“Giving back to the communities where all of us live and work is one of the number one things that we can do as a company and we take a lot of pride in doing that,” Baker explains. “Our goal is to be the partner of choice in the communities where we live and operate, and certainly the United Way campaign is a big part of our employees being able to give back to the community and help those that are in need.”

Most of the funds were raised by employees and retirees through the company’s payroll campaign, raffles, and draws.

Union Gas helps raise about a third of all donations to the United Way of Chatham-Kent every year.
