Returning for its 17th year, the United Way is launching its annual Operation Backpacks program.
Since 2001, the campaign has collected and donated 14,000 backpacks to children in need in the community.
Anyone wishing to be part of the campaign can sponsor a backpack full of school supplies for $25. Supplies can also be donated. For more information, visit here.
