With just two days left, the United Way of Chatham-Kent is into the home stretch of the 2019 campaign.

Director of Donor Engagement Tom Slager says they’re still a ways off from the goal of 1.5 million dollars, but there’s still time to help the cause.

“What we are doing on Thursday is an achievement. It’s an achievement touchdown, it’s not a look at our goal touchdown we’re still working hard,” says Slager. “We still have to shut things down tomorrow afternoon so we can throw everything in the data base and see if the numbers add up. We still have time.”

The touchdown event is being held at the Links of Kent Thursday morning to announce the final tally from the campaign.

All funds raised support dozen of local programs and services to help thousands of residents across Chatham-Kent.
