United Way Wants You

The United Way is looking for a few good men and women to fill its Board of Directors.

CEO Steve Pratt says they’d like to get some volunteers from the Wallaceburg and Dresden areas.

“We served over 7,000 people in those areas last year and we have our Wallaceburg information help centre and we fund one of the programs in Dresden, the Sidestreets for the youth centre,” says Pratt.  “So it’s nice having some geographical representation on our boards so we can get know how we’re doing in those communities and get  feedback from those communities directly  from the now future programming needs and community needs.”

The time commitment for members of the board works out to between two and six hours per month, depending on your level of involvement in sub-committee and fundraisers.

Those who’d like to apply can email Brad Langford, President, United Way of Chatham-Kent Board of Directors here.
