
A local man was forced to sleep it off in a holding cell after police were called to a disturbance in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said an intoxicated man attended a residence on Glenwood Drive shortly before 9 p.m. on Wednesday and attempted to assault multiple individuals.
The incident was reported to police, and officers arrived at the home to find the man outside, where he displayed signs of impairment.
A 24-year-old Chatham man was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and was held in custody until sober. He was issued a provincial offences notice and later released.
