A Chatham homeowner had an unexpected and unwanted guest Monday night.
According to police, a woman broke into an Emma Street home around 8:14 last night, grabbed a drink out of the fridge, caused some damage to the home, and then left with the house keys.
The 39-year-old was tracked down and arrested. She’s now facing charges of break and enter, mischief, theft, and possession of stolen property.
She was released from police custody with conditions and a date in court in October.
