Vaccine Q&As Aim to Clear Up Misconceptions

With Chatham-Kent’s first vaccine clinic for younger kids coming up this weekend, Public Health officials want to make sure parents and kids have all the information they need.

Two registered public health nurses will be answering any questions parents and kids have about getting the new Pfizer vaccine for children aged 5-11. CLICK HERE to take part in tonight’s online chat, which begins at 7pm.

Meantime, a pair of Facebook Live events are scheduled for next week.

Hosted by the group Come Together CK, the first Q&A on Wednesday will focus on booster shots and any other vaccine-related questions with family physician Dr. Jason Denys and second-year Family Medicine Resident Dr. Matt Milkovic.

Thursday, local pediatrician Dr. Ian Johnston will discuss vaccines for children and youth.

Those two events, both starting at 7pm, can be found on the Come Together CK Facebook page.
