A community group that helped fund Dresden’s new rainbow crosswalk is hoping someone will come forward after vandals took aim at the installation.
Miriam Armstrong posted in the Dresden Community Care Facebook group that two young men poured paint along the colourful markers at the corner of Main Street and St George overnight.
“It took 3 days to expose the fact that our small community needs to do so much more to promote inclusiveness and educate all generations on accepting people who are not exactly like them,” Armstrong said. “Everyone is absolutely entitled to their opinions, they are however, not allowed to hurt others with these opinions.”
