Vehicle Vandalized Following Fight Between Two Men

While a fight between two men in Camden Township may have been consensual, vandalizing one of their vehicles certainly wasn’t.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said two men agreed to meet face-to-face to fight after exchanging hostile text messages on April 22. The pair, who were reportedly under the influence of alcohol, met at a private residence and an altercation ensued.

Following the fight, one of the men expressed frustration and damaged the other’s vehicle by smashing the driver-side mirror and standing on the roof.

As a result, a 30-year-old Thamesville man turned himself in to police on Monday. He is now charged with mischief under $5,000 and was released with conditions and a future court date.
