A former Chatham violin teacher will be spending time behind bars.
Claude Trachy was sentenced in court yesterday for 27 sexual-related charges against former students over the course of three decades, dating back to the 1970s.
Trachy was originally acquitted of 51 charges, but that ruling was overturned by the Court of Appeal.
The 75-year-old has been sentenced to eight months in jail followed by two years’ probation.
