A pair of fundraisers will get local residents on their feet for a good cause this weekend.

The Kidney Walk returns for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic, taking place at Chatham’s Kingston Park on Saturday with registration beginning at 8:30, followed by the walk at 10.

Organizers have already exceeded their goal of $7500 to support the Kidney Foundation’s vital research and patient support programs.

Meantime on Sunday, the Walk for Parkinson’s hits the trails at Kingston Park. Registration is at 12pm followed by the walk at 1.

Funds raised support programs and services that improve the quality of life for people living with Parkinson’s and their families in Southwestern Ontario. This year’s fundraising goal is set at $12,000.
