Wallaceburg Man Arrested For Skipping Court Date

A Wallaceburg man accused of threatening to shoot his neighbour has been arrested again for missing his court date.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a multi-unit residence in Wallaceburg on June 24, 2024 regarding an ongoing dispute between two residents.

According to police, a man allegedly turned off the victim’s water supply and was yelling and stomping within the residence throughout the day and night. The man also threatened to shoot the victim.

A 65-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with uttering threats and mischief.

After failing to appear for his scheduled court date on December 9, 2024, a warrant was issued for the man’s arrest. As a result, officers located and arrested the man on Bruce Street in Wallaceburg on Monday. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
