Wallaceburg Man Charged For Attacking Bus

A Wallaceburg man is facing charges after he allegedly became violent when denied entry onto a bus.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said on Tuesday afternoon, the man demanded to get on the bus on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg, and allegedly punched the vehicle and tore off one of the windshield wipers.

Officers responded and arrested the man. During a search of the accused, police allege that officers discovered a small baggie with suspected methamphetamine.

As result, a 29-year-old Wallaceburg man is charged with mischief under $5,000, possession of a controlled substance and failing to comply with a release order to not possess unlawful drugs.
