Wallaceburg residents dug deep to help support veterans with this year’s Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Campaign.
Officials with Branch 18 say over $12,413 was raised through poppy and other donations last month.
Over the past year the Poppy Fund has paid out over $9,000 to Veteran Programs and Veteran Hospital Donations and other costs supporting the Poppy Campaign.
The remainder in the Fund is reserved for new requests over the year ahead, and for purchase of supplies for the next campaign.
