Athletic excellence will be honoured in Wallaceburg the spring.
The nominees have been announced for this year’s induction into the Wallaceburg Sports Hall of Fame.
Patti Blondia is this year’s Female Athlete of the Year, while Brian Glover takes home the Male Athlete honours. Grace Harvey is being inducted in the Builder category, Ed Freeburn is this year’s Coach/Official inductee, team honours go to the 1990 Wallaceburg Sting Men’s Soccer Team, and the 2026 Master Classic inductee is the 1978 Wallaceburg Satan Juvenile Lacrosse Team.
Several awards will be handed out as well, including outstanding achievement honours for Tori Horrobin and Legacie Blackbird. Lucas Laprise has been named the Ray Aarssen/Wallaceburg Sports Hall of Fame scholarship recipient.
The class of 2026 will be honoured at the 44th annual Wallaceburg Sports Hall of Fame Awards Banquet at the UAW Hall on April 11th.
The Hall of Fame is located inside the Wallaceburg and District Museum.
