Wallaceburg Woman Accused of Obstructing Police

A traffic stop in Wallaceburg has led to charges for a local woman.

Authorities pulled over a vehicle on Wallace Street just after 10:30 Monday morning, but say the woman behind the wheel gave police a fake name. After confirming her identity, officers discovered she was wanted on outstanding warrants from both Chatham-Kent Police and Windsor Police.

The 46-year-old was arrested and charged with theft, possession of stolen property, and obstructing police. She was released to the custody of Windsor authorities with a future court date.
